CONSERVATION

Our new initiative to refill and recycle chemical barrels using our in-house bulk tanks has been the key to addressing the accumulation of plastic waste. HDPE, a common plastic, is estimated to have a half-life of nearly 1,200 years. This highlights the long-lasting nature of plastics and the urgent need for sustainable practices. Our efforts to repurpose these barrels actively divert plastic waste from landfills and decrease the demand for new materials. Unlike sand filters, the regenerative media filters used in the Defender system offer operational cost savings for aquatics facilities. They reduce water consumption, energy usage, chemical consumption, and required footprint, making them a more efficient and sustainable choice.
