PH INCREASER is used to increase the pH of pool water. The pH range most state health departments recommend is between 7.2 and 7.8; this pH range offers maximum sanitation effectiveness and user comfort. It is recommended to attain a total alkalinity residual of 80 to 150 ppm before the addition of pH increaser, since this will act as “buffer” and make pH stabilization much easier to maintain.
