Chemical Safety Tips

1. Keep all chemicals out of reach of children.
2. Store chemicals in a cool, dry, clean place.
3. Wash hands thoroughly after handling chemicals.
4. Never mix chemicals together, or with anything other than water.
5. Always add chemicals to water, never the opposite. Splash-back could occur causing damage to clothing or burning of eyes.
6. Use only clean measuring devices to handle chemicals.
7. Never add more than one pound or 20 liquid ounces of pH+ (increaser) or pH- (minus) per 10,000 gallons in a 4-hour period.
8. Replace liquid reagants in a test kit at least once a year.
9. Add liquid chemicals with bottle close to pool water to avoid splashing.
10. Sprinkle granular chemicals close to water's surface so wind does not blow product.
11. Do not reuse empty containers. When containers are empty, rinse and dispose.
